JWR
1986 Land Rover 110 V8
-
Some Land Rovers spend their lives in fields and farmyards. D451 JWR spent hers on the
airfield. She’s an original factory V8, two-door 110, and was supplied new to Leeds Bradford
airfield. There she’d have done the hard, unglamorous work that keeps an airfield running, day
in and day out, whatever the Yorkshire weather. Factory V8 110s have always been sought after,
and when one with such an honest working history came up, Windsor Classics secured her for a
client with a very particular adventure in mind. Today she’s back where she started, home in
Yorkshire with her new owner and ready for whatever lies beyond the next horizon.

Our client wanted a go-anywhere camper built on a proper, original V8 110. It had to be self-sufficient enough to head off-grid for days at a time, with somewhere comfortable to sleep, cook and wash wherever the road ends. But this was never meant to be a utilitarian expedition truck.
Every detail needed the warmth and craftsmanship of a Windsor Classics build, with a heritage look outside and everything designed around the way our client likes to travel. Before a spanner was turned, we created full renders of the finished vehicle so our client could settle every detail of the look and feel.
