XWH

The Land Rover story is often told through Solihull, but it has a Spanish chapter too. 441 XWH is a 1961 Series IIA Santana 88" — built under licence in Spain, where Land Rovers were manufactured to meet demand across the Iberian Peninsula and beyond. Little is known of her life on Spanish soil, but when Chris Sullivan spotted her in the small ads, he knew immediately that she deserved a new chapter. He arranged transport back to the United Kingdom and delivered her to Windsor Classics with a clear vision in mind.

Chris wanted a beautifully restored Series Land Rover for his holiday home in Norfolk — a vehicle to enjoy on unhurried drives through the lanes and along the coast, with the kind of craftsmanship and detail that makes every journey a pleasure. She needed to be mechanically refined for effortless driving, luxuriously trimmed, and finished to a standard that would do justice to the sixty-year journey that brought her from a Spanish factory to the English countryside.
